Cost of manhunt for trooper ambush suspect: $11M

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – Pennsylvania state police say they spent $11 million on the manhunt for a survivalist charged in the ambush slaying of a trooper outside his barracks.  State police released a cost breakdown on Friday. Thousands of law enforcement officers from numerous state and federal agencies took part in the 48-day manhunt for Eric Frein. He was captured by U.S. marshals outside an abandoned airplane hangar on Oct. 30. Frein is charged with opening fire on the Blooming Grove state police barracks two months ago, killing Cpl.
